Elaborate 3-D Feynman diagrams or performance art?

One morning just before finals, the physics departement was prevented from reaching their offices by the creation pictured below. We believe it is an elaborate depiction of sub-atomic particles. Or perhaps it is a whimsical meditation on spiderman.

The creators of this piece believed they did so anonymously, leaving no trace of their identity behind. However, they foolishly underestimated the powers of the physics faculty. See the culprits revealed below!
