Department of Physics

Dr. Mary Fehrs retired at the end of the '03-'04 academic year.

She has done experimental work on domestic flat-panel solar energy system augmented with mirrors, and has also performed computer modeling of these systems looking for maximal configurations. Her current interests are in developing solutions to quantum and classical problems using MAPLE and in pedagogical issues in introductory physics courses. Dr. Fehrs is also very involved in gender issues of women in science and active in national AAPT committees. Dr. Fehrs enjoys hiking and jogging, and can also be coaxed into tickling the ivories of her harpsichord.
