During finals I am holding a review session on Sunday evening and some extra office hours. I can also meet with you at other times if you make an appointment with me.

  • Review Session Sunday May 15th from 6-8pm in Strain 121.
  • Office Hours: Wed 1-4:30, Fri 12-1 and Mon 3-5pm and 6-7pm.

The comprehensive final exam is on Monday, May 16th in Strain 121 from 7-9:30pm (The final should only take 1 hour or so, however). Here is the review sheet in both PDF and DOC formats.

Observing Session Credit/Extra Credit:

If you attend the Star Party on Saturday at OSMI (below), I will count it as an observing session. Just write up a paragraph about what you looked at and what kind of telescope(s) you looked through. If you have already done an observing session, I will replace a webwarmup grade.

A Star Party will be held Saturday evening at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.

The Rose City Astronomers and Vancouver Sidewalk Astronomers will have telescopes available so the public can view the stars, the moon, and Jupiter. The free event begins at 8:30 p.m. in OMSI's east parking lot, 1945 S.E. Water Ave., Portland.

For possible weather cancellation, call 503-797-4610 after 3 p.m. Saturday. Hit 2 for the star party schedule. The forecast does not look very good right now, so be sure to call before heading to Portland.
